Video Time Stamping

Canada Post Corporation (CPC) requested DAP’s expertise in video time stamping of carriers’ casing. The objective was to establish performance standards for over a dozen standard work elements.  Carrier casing standards at CPC had, until then, been based on  time studies. CPC was interested in getting a comparative benchmark using time stamping.  DAP led a pilot study consisting of defining the  time element activities to be video recorded. We conducted the time-stamping, and performed a comparative analysis of the recorded time units against engineered works standards.  The process  provided evidence that video-based time stamping provided far more precise measurement standards.
