Philippines Trade and Transport Security Mission

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency, in conjunction with other U.S. government agencies, established a Regional Trade and Financial Security Initiative fund for the APEC countries to enhance trade and transportation security.  The Definitional Mission was conducted by decision analysis partners at the ADB in the Philippines, in support of the USTDA Regional Director for Asia. One of the main objectives of the mission was to define the role and requirements of this Advisory Consultant to the ADB, to be funded through a USTDA grant of $500,000. Extensive discussions were held with a broad cross-section of ADB staff to assess overall requirements, along with potential transportation security projects that the Advisory Consultant will be required to assist in reviewing over the following two years.
