Staff allocation for CPC mail processing centers

dap has been tasked with helping Canada Post develop a corporate-wide staff allocation model for its mail processing centers.  CPC’s goal is to establish corporate standards to better enforce labor productivity performance.  dap is working with CPC to define a staffing roadmap followed by the development of pertinent methods and tools.

Using simulation modeling, dap is also currently testing various staffing policies for the mail dispatch operations at the Toronto and Montreal processing centers.  The goal is to identify staffing plans that will minimize labor requirements while meeting stringent dispatch operating windows with complex tray and container flow.
