dap developed a computational model and application designed to generate presorted bundles and trays with the greatest possible presort depth, given bundling specifications. The model gave the postal organization an analytical decision-support methodology to define its pre-sort policies to its major customer. The bundling algorithm developed by dap offered the organization the capability to generate unit loads based on any network induction point, and to compute corresponding aggregate processing costs.
