Tal Middleton has over 30 years of management experience for the US Postal Service. His management experience spans customer service, mail processing operations and productivity performance. Mr. Middleton
is recognized as a leader in Processing & Distribution operations, automation utilization and labor negotiations during U.S. Postal Service's (USPS) rapid deployment of automation technology. Mr. Middletown
was selected by the USPS COO as a member of the Major Metros, a group representing the largest Processing facilities in the country to develop, initiate and activate "best practices" to be utilized by all Processing
facilities in the Postal Service. He was the manager of mail processing during the period of rapid development and deployment of automation at USPS.
Mr. Middleton is a consultant for a large supplier of postal automation, offering extensive knowledge of processing operations, equipment performance, cost analysis, data collection, employee utilization to perform
cost saving analysis for the Flat Sequencing System (FSS) recently acquired by USPS. As Senior Plant Manager for the Portland Processing & Distribution Center and the Denver Processing & Distribution
Center (P&DC), Tal Middleton managed six processing facilities, all transportation, 140 managers, 2,500 employees, and a $150 M yearly budget in the Portland P&DC. Moreover, he managed all P&DC
activities in the states of Colorado and Wyoming, the Denver Bulk Mail Center, all transportation, 300 managers, 7,000 employees, and a $450 M yearly budget.
Mr. Middleton lead the process of layout design, equipment installation, transportation, staffing and activation for the distribution centers and implemented processes and procedures that improved employee relations,
overall operational efficiencies, and established Denver as a leader in customer service and lead the training of over 1,000 managers in work methods and work methods improvement.
