Magaly Garza has over 10 years of experience as an international business professional, with expertise working with different countries and cultures from all over the world.
Magaly works as an international business consultant for decision/analysis partners organizing and coordinating USTDA orientation visits and conferences. She recently organized the
Iraq E-Learning Orientation Visit. Served as a project coordinator making sure that all the logistical aspects were organized. She also participated on a decision/analysis CAFTA-DR Trade Integration Initiative
Definitional Mission.
Magaly worked as a Program Manager for DOD and USAID and has logistics experience in the supply chain management process for humanitarian aid programs for DoD and USAID. Magaly has
experience coordinating cross trade projects to transport humanitarian products from manufacturing companies located in Asia and Europe to other countries around the world. She has experience managing and
maintaining day to day relationship with customer and providing weekly updates to Executive Management.
Magaly also worked as a Trade Specialist for the Wine and Spirits industry and served as a liaison between importers, distributors, and overseas forwarder agents with the responsibility
of communicating and specifying best business practices in trade support area. She planned, coordinated, monitored and prioritized trade operations while minimizing risk
Magaly has international working experience in Mexico as a Marketing Manager for one of the largest breweries, Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma (CCM) in Monterrey, Mexico. She implemented
marketing strategies for the effective distribution and promotion of products globally. She worked in partnership with CCM management to create import/export documents and procedures for the various countries,
while considering international regulations.
Magaly is currently a member of United Nations Association National Capital Area (UNA-NCA), Young Professionals for International Cooperation (YPIC) Chapter, and member of Women in
International Trade (WIIT/OWIT).
Magaly holds a B.A. degree in International Commerce and Business Management from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Monterrey, Mexico.
