- Developed and instituted regulatory policy concerning postage payment procedures and verification methods including address quality. Developed and implemented presort software certification program
(PAVE). Worked with industry experts to create and institute the first automated barcode evaluation system (ABE) to speed mail verification. Developed the first mail piece design training program for
industry use (MQC). Developed the address quality metrics and procedures used by industry to achieve postage discounts.
- Developed the in-person proofing (Identity Validation) process for the US Postal Service. Consulted on Internet security issues concerning public key infrastructure, certificate authority and policies and
operational procedures concerning digital certificate issuance.
- Managed sales managers with responsibility for lead generation, sales measurement, sales systems, sales policy, training and development, event marketing, sponsorships. Developed the first USPS inside sales
group.
- Primary responsibilities for growing Express Mail and Priority Mail volume and revenue. Developed award winning $40 million "What's Your Priority" multi-media advertising campaign for Priority Mail which
increased revenue by 15%. Instituted co-branding campaign with free customized packaging for major overnight and 2-day customers. Developed procedures for manifesting of overnight
products. Established the program to place free manifesting equipment (hardware and software) within major mailer facilities.
- Managed a team of sales professionals; internal reps, contractors, and VARs responsible for national sales of this new Internet start up selling PC postage. Developed marketing programs and
advertising/collateral materials in support of sales efforts. Responsible for customer input on product enhancements, product development, pricing, and overall sales and marketing strategy.
