Alan Mihaley is a senior consultant with over twenty years experience serving public and private sector organizations in a number of disciplines, including strategic planning,
organizational management, program management, training and facilitation. He has extensive experience in process and performance improvement, resource analysis and management, change management, and customer
relationship management. Mr. Mihaley's current interest is in eTransformation and eGovernment, helping organizations increase their efficiency and productivity through better understanding and application of new
information technologies to their business model and strategies.
Mr. Mihaley's recent experience includes: Leading an agency-wide eGovernment strategy formulation project for the Social Security Administration designed to guide the administration's
eServices strategy direction, the engagement entailed working closely with agency executives via gap analysis interviews, visioning sessions, and strategic planning sessions; Managing the creation of a channel
management strategy for business eFile tax products for the IRS Electronic Tax Administration (ETA) where he created repeatable processes for gathering internal and external data that identifies and prioritizes
potential large, small and mid-size channel partners (Payroll Providers, Financial Institutions, Paid-Preparers and Software Developers and Transmitters); Managing the assessment, design, and development of a
"commercial" account management program for ETA; Coordinating resources of over 20 sub-task activities in the areas of National Account Management, Field Account Management, Human Resources, and Organizational
Change and Learning; Conducting an internal and external product and market assessment of all business eFile tax products for ETA which included an environmental scan of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats (SWOT) analysis of each business eFile tax product, identified channel management partners and opportunities for rewards and incentives.
Prior to joining Decision Analysis Partners, Mr. Mihaley worked with major management and technology consultancies, including Arthur D. Little, Ernst & Young LLC and Coopers & Lybrand LLC. In addition, his
industry experience includes over six years at The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and has completed coursework towards a graduate degree in business
management.
