Bernard Markowicz presents at 2012 Malta PIEF

Bernard Markowicz made a presentation  at the 5th Postal Industry Executive Forum (PIEF) held at the Westin Dragonara Hotel in Malta. The theme of the conference was on New Solutions, New Platforms. Bernard’s presentation was entitled “An overview and framework for postal platform” (see slideshare presentation below). The conference gathered 30 senior industry leaders including postal operators, technology, solutions and  service providers, and industry experts. The PIEF is  unique in the industry for in-depth networking with  senior  leaders  and substantive discussions of strategic issues and business development initiatives.

The concept of platform was developed a few years ago to describe new economic models such as iTunes, ebay and others who bring the services of other private companies into their infrastructure as a revenue multiplier.
