Address Database Physical Verification

The quality of an address database has a direct correlation with delivery effectiveness, particularly if the mail is sorted in delivery sequence.  The quality of the database affects the postal carrier’s path and the amount of work required to deliver the mail at each address (in the case of community boxes or apartments for instance).

decision analysis partners assisted a postal client with “on-the-ground” address management by developing an address hygiene strategy, route verification processes and training for supervisors. decision analysis partners validated the address strategy by conducting route verifications in the field using dap’s iPad Route Verifier™.  The project resulted in recommendations for delivery managers that will improve carrier oversight and a greater focus on address management.
